Portland ist f\u00fcr seine Foodie-Szene bekannt und das wollten wir mal ausprobieren.<\/p>\n<p>Schon am ersten Tag haben wir dabei die ganze Bandbreite erfahren.<\/p>\n<p>Nach der Fahrradtour haben wir eine der Food-Cart-Ecken gefunden und das mal ausprobiert. Wichtig: Es sind Food-Carts, keine Food-Trucks, denn letztere k\u00f6nnte man bewegen.<\/p>\n<p>Die Speisen, die man da bekommt, reichen von Burgern und Sandwiches bis zu original mexikanischer K\u00fcche oder s\u00fcdosteurop\u00e4isch oder asiatische K\u00fcchen.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.travellingdevil.de\/?attachment_id=3889\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3889\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3889 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/travellingdevil.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/022_USAKanada.jpg\" alt=\"022_USAKanada\" width=\"786\" height=\"1048\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.travellingdevil.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/022_USAKanada.jpg 786w, https:\/\/www.travellingdevil.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/022_USAKanada-113x150.jpg 113w, https:\/\/www.travellingdevil.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/022_USAKanada-300x400.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.travellingdevil.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/022_USAKanada-768x1024.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 786px) 100vw, 786px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Wir haben bei dem Stand hier sehr leckere Burritos und Tacos geordert und gleich danach bekommen und verspeist &#8211; sehr lecker.<\/p>\n<p>Die Food-Carts standen alle in der N\u00e4he der Universit\u00e4t (PSU), daher waren hier vor allem Studenten und Dozenten unterwegs, im Business District ist das aber auch die normale Mittagspause.<\/p>\n<p>Im Gegensatz dazu haben wir abends im Higgins gegessen, einem &#8222;Farm to table&#8220;-Restaurant &#8211; wo also der Koch direkt beim Farmer einkauft und man daher nur Dinge bekommen, die in der direkten Umgebung wachsen bzw. leben.<\/p>\n<p>Und durch die fruchtbare Umgebung von Portland gibt es hier sehr vieles, was w\u00e4chst und lebt.
