Gebaut wurde es 1745 w\u00e4hrend des Aufstandes der Jakobiner f\u00fcr die britische Armee. 1960 wurde an das Kindehouse Hotel ein f\u00fcr damalige Verh\u00e4ltnisse moderner Anbau hinzugef\u00fcgt. Diesen haben Meike und Jens auch vor 10 Jahren schon besucht. Dieser hatte Charme und war eher wie ein Inn (quietschende Treppen, kleine B\u00e4der, etc.). Zu Essen gab es dann etwas im Inn und sonst nix.<\/p>\n<p>2018 wurde das Hotel dann geschlossen und der Anbau aus den 60er Jahren komplett entfernt. Nur der Teil aus dem 18. Jahrhundert wurde erhalten Das Hotel hat jetzt einen modernen Anbau erhalten, moderne Zimmer und eine Bar, ein Pub und ein modernes Restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>Wir haben zwar vorher probiert einen Tisch im Restaurant zu reservieren, dies gelang aber nicht so wirklich. War schon, allerdings sind dort vorab Reservierungen verpflichtend. Was angesichts eines halb-leeren Restaurants nicht so ganz verst\u00e4ndlich war.<\/p>\n<p>Uns egal, denn wir durften noch rein und bekamen auch einen wunderbaren Tisch mit Blick auf das Tal.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.travellingdevil.de\/?attachment_id=9563\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-9563\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-9563\" src=\"https:\/\/travellingdevil.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/065_2019WestHighlandWay-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.travellingdevil.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/065_2019WestHighlandWay.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.travellingdevil.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/065_2019WestHighlandWay-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Das Essen war gr\u00f6\u00dftenteils lokal, wobei die Bierauswahl doch besser sein k\u00f6nnte. Aber das Steak war wunderbar. Der Lachs auch.
